In August of 1998, Scott made the most difficult decision of his life. In search of opportunity and a better life for his family, Scott left South Korea and immigrated to the United States. Even though he couldn't speak, write, or understand english - Scott had an unshakeable faith in the promise of America. Scott believed that as long as he remained committed to hard work, lived with integrity, and treated others with kindness, respect, compassion, there would be no limit to his success.

​Today, Scott proudly owns not one, but two dry cleaning businesses, and he eagerly shares how his faith in America has been richly rewarded. Scott was also elected by his peers and currently serves as the President of the Staten Island Korean-American Dry Cleaners Association.

Alongside his wife, Miya, he has built a successful entrepreneurial journey, creating multiple thriving dry cleaning establishments. Through their hard work, they were able to provide for their three children—Cole, Aheh, and Jay. As a father, Scott takes great pride in his son Cole's career as an NYPD officer in the 120th Precinct, Aheh's impactful work with a Staten Island nonprofit supporting victims of domestic violence, and Jay's success as an engineer. Grateful for the opportunities afforded by the Staten Island community and the country that made his dreams possible, Scott honors the service of all government employees by offering a 20% discount on all orders.

Although his children, now grown, urge him to retire, Scott remains deeply committed to his business out of a passion for serving the Staten Islanders who made his dreams a reality. He understands that having the trust of Staten Islanders with their clothing is not just a job—it is a cherished responsibility. From preparing a suit for a job interview to an outfit for a special date night, or even a wedding dress, Scott takes pride in being a part of the most important moments in his customers' lives.
